Quick answer: Petit Planet launches December 4, 2026 on PC, iOS and Android, with pre-download from December 1, and a Nintendo Switch 2 version follows in 2027. Redeem code PTPL1204 after launch for 10 Curio Sea Whistles before January 3, 2027 at 10:00 (UTC+8). Current as of the Pre-Launch Special Program on November 1, 2026.
HoYoverse used today’s Petit Planet Pre-Launch Special Program to confirm that its cozy life sim is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. There is no exact Switch 2 date yet. The main launch is unchanged: December 4, 2026 on PC, iOS and Android, with pre-download opening on December 1. The stream also handed out a redemption code and laid out every launch reward. Here is what to grab and when.
Petit Planet redemption code: PTPL1204
- Reward: 10 Curio Sea Whistles, used in Starsea Call to get seasonal Curios.
- How to redeem: after launch, open Settings, then Account, then Redemption Code. Claim the reward from your PuffPost Box.
- Expires: January 3, 2027 at 10:00 (UTC+8), which is January 2 at 8 PM CT.
Pre-registration rewards and the 10 million milestone
HoYoverse says Petit Planet has passed 10 million global pre-registrations. That unlocks every milestone tier, topped by the Sproutling Outfit. Anyone who pre-registers also gets the Bestie Star-Light. The “Besties, Made to Match!” event runs until December 25: pre-register, form a team of three, and each member claims an Archiboo top.
Free whistles from playing
- Seven Cups of Tea Beneath the Boughs: log in on seven days for 10 more Curio Sea Whistles.
- Planet Growth Rewards: level your Luca Arbor to Lv. 30 for 10 Sea Whistles, which pull Yarn in Starsea Call for seasonal outfits.
- Over 1,000 clothing and furniture items unlock just by playing, per HoYoverse.
Add it up and a new player can start with 20 Curio Sea Whistles from the code and the login event alone.
What you actually do in Petit Planet
Your story starts when Mobai hands you a Luca Seed. Farming, cooking, gathering, beekeeping and selling all produce Luca, the energy that grows your Luca Arbor. Beyond home, you sail the Starsea to islets full of materials and Neighbors, then trade and play minigames at the Galactic Bazaar. Decorating covers home decor, vignettes and blueprints, so the Animal Crossing comparisons are fair.
Switch 2 giveaway
To mark the announcement, the official Petit Planet account on X is giving away three Nintendo Switch 2 and Pro Controller bundles plus ten $50 gift cards. Follow the account and repost the announcement with #PetitPlanetSwitch2 before November 15 at 23:59 (UTC+8), or 9:59 AM CT. Some regions are excluded.
Planning to wait for Switch 2? HoYoverse has not said whether progress or pre-registration rewards carry over between platforms, so watch for that detail before you pick where to start. For more Switch 2 news, see our Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition demo guide.
