Quick answer: Cook Man (DWN.094) is the fourth of eight Robot Masters revealed for Mega Man: Dual Override. He fights with “Kung Fu Cooking” on a giant frying pan, and the game launches in spring 2027. Current as of November 2, 2026.
Capcom has revealed the next boss in Mega Man: Dual Override, and he is ready to cook. Cook Man, officially DWN.094, is the fourth of the game’s eight Robot Masters, and he brings a style Capcom calls “Kung Fu Cooking.”
The reveal happened at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026, a fitting stage for a boss built around food. Capcom followed up with a Japanese press release on November 2 and new screenshots on the official Mega Man account.
Who is Cook Man?
According to Capcom, Cook Man is a wandering chef robot who believes cooking should be fun from the very first step, so he mixes kung fu moves into how he cooks. His problem is pride. He wants the world to recognize his cooking style, and that need for approval spirals out of control until he goes on a rampage inside a huge restaurant.
The screenshots show what that means in a fight. Mega Man battles him on top of a massive frying pan loaded with vegetables, with flames underneath. Cook Man swings a large curved blade and throws kitchen utensils, including ladles, as projectiles. Capcom’s official English description says he is ready to “slice and dice our heroes,” and asks players whether they can take the heat.
A busy kitchen stage
His stage is set in a giant, crowded kitchen. Capcom says flying cooking tools are the main hazard, so players will need to read their paths and decide when to attack and when to dodge.
The Robot Master roster so far
Cook Man joins three bosses Capcom has already shown:
- Twinkle Girl
- Jet Man
- Tank Man, revealed earlier this week
- Cook Man (DWN.094), revealed November 1 and 2
That leaves four Robot Masters still to be revealed. Siliconera reports that one of the remaining slots is tied to Capcom’s public boss design contest.
What is Mega Man: Dual Override?
Dual Override is a new mainline Mega Man game with two playable heroes, Mega Man and Proto Man, who handle very differently. Alongside the eight new Robot Masters, it brings back bosses from past games. The Override system lets you push past your limits for a short burst of power, and Custom Chips let you upgrade your abilities your way. Capcom is billing it as the headline release for the series’ 40th anniversary.
It launches in spring 2027 on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox on PC.
