Quick answer: Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on Tuesday, November 3 at 4 PM PT (6 PM CT, 7 PM ET), which is midnight UTC on November 4. The Standard Edition costs $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition costs $44.99. It is a paid action RPG, not the free-to-play gacha game Solo Leveling: ARISE, and online co-op on console needs PS Plus or Game Pass Essential or higher.

Netmarble has dated the console version of Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, the action RPG based on the Solo Leveling webtoon that launched on PC in November 2025. The PlayStation Store and Xbox Store pages are live now. Here is the exact unlock time in your time zone, what each edition costs, what you need for co-op, and what to know if you already play on PC.

When does Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE come out on PS5 and Xbox?

It is a single global launch on November 3 at 4 PM PT, per Netmarble’s announcement and the official ARISE OVERDRIVE account:

  • Pacific: 4 PM, Tuesday, November 3
  • Central: 6 PM, Tuesday, November 3
  • Eastern: 7 PM, Tuesday, November 3
  • UTC and UK: midnight, Wednesday, November 4
  • Korea (KST): 9 AM, Wednesday, November 4

The PlayStation Store lists the release as 12:00 AM UTC on November 4, which matches. Netmarble has not announced a preload time or download size yet.

Price: Standard vs Deluxe Edition

  • Standard Edition, $39.99: the full base game.
  • Deluxe Edition, $44.99: the base game plus the Sung Jinwoo: Overdrive costume, one face accessory and two new hairstyles for Jinwoo, an 8-piece Cha Hae-In emoji set, the Yaruru “Predator Tank” (a Yaruru helper that picks up items for you), and a new profile card, frame, icon and background.

The store listings group those items under “Deluxe Edition and Preorder Reward” and note they may be sold separately later. Both editions carry an ESRB Teen rating and list in-game purchases.

What kind of game is it?

OVERDRIVE retells Sung Jinwoo’s rise from E-Rank hunter to Monarch of Shadows, with original webtoon arcs plus new chapters made for the game. Combat is built around weapon and skill combos, an Extreme Evasion dodge and perfect parries, with a skill tree that branches into 8 job advancements. You craft weapons from monster drops, including webtoon gear like Kasaka’s Venom Fang and the Demon King’s Daggers, and you can take on Commanders in 4-player co-op raids as Jinwoo or as a party of other hunters.

It is a separate game from Solo Leveling: ARISE, Netmarble’s free-to-play gacha RPG. OVERDRIVE is a one-time purchase, so you are not pulling for characters to progress.

Do you need PS Plus or Game Pass to play?

Only for online play. The PlayStation Store lists 1 player offline and up to 4 online players with PS Plus. On Xbox, online multiplayer on console requires Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate. The Xbox listing also shows Xbox cross-platform multiplayer, which links Xbox console and PC players.

Already playing on Steam?

Nothing changes on PC. Netmarble’s announcement does not mention cross-progression between Steam and consoles or PS5 cross-play, so if you want to switch to console, plan on buying it again until Netmarble says otherwise. For a reference point on reception, 75% of the 3,318 English-language user reviews on Steam are positive (Mostly Positive) as of October 30.

Game Beacon’s take

Buy the $39.99 Standard Edition unless you want the Jinwoo costume. The extra $5 for Deluxe gets you cosmetics, emojis and profile items, not more game. With no gacha and full 4-player raids, this is the version of Solo Leveling to play if you watched the anime and want Jinwoo’s power fantasy without a premium currency. It also lands in a busy week for anime games, right after STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT, and Netmarble showed OVERDRIVE at the April ID@Xbox showcase.
