ARC Raiders Update 2.3 is rolling out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the headline change is for anyone who paid for Expedition Vault slots. Embark Studios is switching the Vault off, moving everything inside it to your stash and handing out Bronze Statuettes for the slots you bought. The patch also buffs two underused tools, changes where the good loot sits inside the Emperor and the Frigate, and adds a new player project called Soul’s Offering. Restart the game to download it.

Here is what changed, and what to do first when you log in.

Expedition Vault items move to your stash

The Expedition Vault was a small storage tab tied to Expeditions, the prestige style reset Embark paused after the fifth Expedition in September until early 2027. Store Update 2.2.0 on October 20 removed the Vault tab and its offer, and some players on the Steam forums said they could no longer find what they had stored. Update 2.3 answers that directly: “Everything you had in the Vault will be moved to your stash.”

  • Your items: moved to your regular stash.
  • Your purchased slots: refunded as Bronze Statuettes.
  • What to check: Embark does not say what happens if your stash is already full, so clear some room and look for the items right after the update.

Buffs worth trying tonight

  • Flame Spray: damage rises from 10 to 13 per second, a 30% jump, and durability drain is cut in half. More damage for less repair cost makes it the biggest winner in the patch.
  • Heavy Shield: base charge goes from 80 to 90, about 12.5% more. Embark says usage is still low and it wants a small survivability bump without passing the Medium Shield by too much.
  • Firefly Burner: it now activates on impact when thrown, leaves a trail of fire and explodes after about 3 seconds. You no longer have to shoot it to vent fire.
  • Adrenaline Shot: usable at full stamina now. It no longer stacks, so a second shot only refreshes the timer.

Loot and blueprint changes

  • Emperor and Frigate: containers near the entrance now hold lower tier rewards, and the better loot sits deeper inside. Grabbing the first crates and leaving is now worth less.
  • Weapon blueprints: Dolabra, Bobcat, Equalizer, Jupiter, Tempest and Vulcano blueprints can drop in any major map condition, at a slightly lower chance.
  • Emperor Key blueprint: rarer from Redirection pods, which now have a small chance at ARC parts and high tier ARC loot instead.
  • Furniture Designs: drop rates were inverted. Rarer designs now drop less often, as intended.

Other notable fixes

Insider Gaming counts roughly 100 fixes. The ones most players will notice: several Grappling Hook fixes that stop sudden launches, an Xbox Series S memory fix aimed at Frigate crashes, a workaround for a ray tracing crash on AMD RX 7000 GPUs, FSR 4.1.1, a camera bob option in Gameplay settings, Color Push and Black and White camera filters, and a new “Times Revived By A Stranger” stat in the Codex.

Embark also says fixes will go back to a regular schedule of every three weeks after today, while store updates stay weekly. If you are waiting on a bug, the next fix drop is likely mid November.

Known issues to avoid

  • Do not extract with partial progress on To The Skies. Embark warns it may block completion.
  • Do not sell or lose quest items such as the Equatorial Sundial for Clean Hands. The quest may become impossible to finish.
  • Some When Everything Falls objectives, such as Photograph Port A, may not complete.
  • Some Xbox players may still see crashes, and falling while using the Grappling Hook can still bounce you into the air.

Our take

The Vault fix is the part that matters most, because it puts paid storage back in players’ hands a week after it went missing. For your next raid, the Flame Spray is the pick: 30% more damage at half the durability cost is a real change, not a tweak. Pair it with the Emperor’s new loot layout, where pushing deeper now pays off. The update lands three days before the game’s first anniversary on October 30, after the Frozen Trail 2.0 update pushed ARC Raiders to a seven month Steam high. New to the Outpost?
