Things to know before you buy
They are Switch 2 only. Nintendo’s store pages say both games are made exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 and cannot be played on the original Switch.
Play Remake first. Rebirth’s store listing confirms that save data from the Remake Intergrade main story unlocks the Leviathan summon materia in Rebirth, and save data from the INTERmission episode unlocks Ramuh. Intergrade already includes INTERmission, so one $7.99 purchase covers both bonuses.
Deluxe is a small step up. The Digital Deluxe Editions add bonus items, a digital art book and a digital mini soundtrack for a few dollars more. Pick one version, since Nintendo warns about duplicate purchases.
Clear some space. These are huge games, so check your storage or a microSD Express card before the download starts.
What else is in the Harvest Sale?
The sale covers a wide spread of Square Enix games and DLC on the eShop. Nintendo Life lists Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion at $29.99, Dragon Quest XI S at $19.99, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince at $5.99, Triangle Strategy at $23.99 and NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition at $15.99.
Why now is a good time
The final chapter, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, launches April 8, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on the same day. Five months is enough time to clear both games before it arrives. For more on the finale, read how FF7 Revelation’s story DLC came from fan demand.
